Seasonal Instructor

Who We are Looking For:
We are looking for individuals who have experience of delivering outdoor learning sessions to a range of ages and abilities and who hold a valid first aid certificate and at least one of the below qualifications:
- BC Coach Award or minimum BC Paddle Sport Instructor
- CWI Assessed or a nationally recognised Climbing qualification
- ERCA Traditional Instructor & ERCA Rescuer
- A nationally recognised Mountain Biking qualification
- Archery GB instructor
Duration: Initially April to December 2025, with potential to apply for full time positions in Autumn 2025
Accommodation: Private room in shared onsite accommodation available at £45 pw

Outdoor Learning Marketing Manager
Who We are Looking For:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Marketing Manager to join our team.
Responsible for overseeing all aspects of commercial marketing for Avon Tyrrell Outdoor Centre, the Marketing Manager helps maintain and grow our reputation as a leading outdoor learning provider and thriving social enterprise.
Working closely with the senior outdoor learning team you will contribute to strengthening UK Youth’s outdoor learning impact and reinforcing our position as leaders in outdoor learning.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy to increase participation and revenue across our outdoor learning portfolio.
- Manage and strengthen AvonTyrrell’s brand identity, ensuring consistency across all communications.
- Use customer insights and content to develop case studies and testimonials to demonstrate the value of outdoor learning experiences.
- Oversee and enhance Avon Tyrrell’s website, ensuring it is engaging, user-friendly, and optimised for search engines.
- Manage social media channels, creating compelling content to drive engagement and brand awareness.
- Produce high-quality written, visual, and video content that highlights the transformative impact of outdoor learning.

An Avon Tyrrell Outdoor Learning Apprenticeship is a 2-year programme, and is a great way to start a career in the outdoor industry.
The paid programme is suitable for people aged 18+ and has the option for participants to live on-site. Throughout the two-years, you will gain skills, qualifications, and the confidence to run a variety of outdoor activities.

We have lots of opportunities at Avon Tyrrell Outdoor Centre, we welcome individuals for a few hours, corporate groups for a day or regular committed hours.
We need help with everything from clearing paths, replacing fences and even helping us to put up a new shelter. We’ve got a never-ending list of jobs!
