Outdoor Classroom Day is a global movement to make time outdoors part of every young person’s day.  

We understand the importance of offering young people the opportunities to take part in high quality outdoor learning, especially with statistics like this; more than eight in ten children agree that being in nature makes them happy (Natural England, 2021), however, fewer than one in ten children regularly play in wild places; compared to almost half a generation ago (Natural England, 2021).  

Getting young people outdoors whether it be for the first or tenth time can be overwhelming and sometimes it can be hard to think of ways to incorporate it with other ways of learning and lesson plans. 

That is why we’ve put together an Outdoor Classroom Day activity pack which helps break down the best ways to learn outdoors, top tips to get outdoors and also some different activity ideas which link back to the national curriculum – all developed with our amazing outdoor learning instructors, who know outdoor learning and understand through practice the best way to get young people learning outdoors.
