Simulation Experience in New Forest

This specially designed team building day is based around the scenario of a plane crash.  The group is split into smaller teams and led off to a ‘crash site’ in our woodlands, where they receive all the details required to survive for an unspecified length of time and to achieve rescue.

To meet the group’s immediate survival needs they must create camp, which depending on the aims and duration of the session can include elements such as fire lighting, shelter building, boiling tea and cooking their lunch over an open fire.  Their ultimate mission is to carry out a reconnaissance of the site to locate the equipment they will need to ensure their survival and rescue.

What will they get from the programme

Individuals will learn how to work collaboratively as a team whilst developing their communication and leadership skills. They will start to build a relationship of trust and respect as they listen and support each other planning and co-ordinating various tasks to ensure their survival.

Your teams will play the role of company departments working independently towards the same objective.  The paths of these departments cross regularly, and you will find yourselves working together towards a common solution or working against each other in competition. Reviews focus on identifying what actions or principles were successful and provide opportunities to improve practices. Areas that can be explored include team operating systems, time & resource management, information handling, negotiation strategies and communication.

Aimed at groups aged 12+, this scenario event is a combination of many of our most popular activities, culminating in a raft building or pioneering grand finale.

What will they get from the programme

Individuals will learn how to work collaboratively as a team whilst developing their communication and leadership skills. The programme will unpick and highlight various strengths and weaknesses giving individuals the opportunity to build confidence, motivate and support others whilst developing as a team.
