The summer holidays are here, and with that comes the chance to adventure outdoors as a family or a group of friends this summer. But does the idea of battling with busy roads or a day of soft play fill you with utter panic? Don’t worry. We’ve got you covered with our favourite ideas of things to do and places to see that everyone in the family will enjoy.  

Get your bags packed – we’re going on an adventure. 

Our 65-acre site sits in the heart of the New Forest, on the South Coast. There are miles of walks and cycle paths as well as open top bus tours of the New Forest, so there are many ways to explore the forest to spot free roaming ponies and cattle! You can adventure out and explore of the small villages and towns. Burley is close to Avon Tyrrell and is known for novelty gift shops, delicious pub food and ice cream.

There is a Co-Op, Boots Chemist and Post Office in Bransgore.

Known mostly for its 7-miles of award winning beaches, we’re sure the family will enjoy a day spent at the beach, in the sea and making sandcastles. There’s lots to do in Bournemouth, visit the Oceanarium or Bournemouth Gardens.  

Why not venture to one of the surrounding towns like Southbourne or Westbourne – all have their own charm and plenty of shops, cafes and walks to enjoy! 

There’s a variety of places to eat and drink in Bournemouth, from independent coffee shops through to fine dining over looking the beach.  

A beautiful small town in Bournemouth, the quayside is the perfect spot for a picnic and jump around in Quomps splash park. If the whole family loves water, why not hire a self-drive motor boat to explore the river Stour for a fun river cruise with the whole family!

If you want to make it a full day out, we’d recommend heading to Monkey World. It’s a great day out learning about the primate rescue centre. Looking for something for thrill seekers, Adventure Wonderland and Paultons Park including Peppa Pig World are close by and have some great rides for adrenaline lovers!
